Beauty Exasperated was published by Common Meter Press in April 2024. The chapbook is a collection of fragmentary erasures of George Eliot's "Middlemarch," which explore constructions of beauty, desire, institutions that seek to formalize & control love, and loss.
In his review, A.R. Arthur describes this book as “a darling collection of poetry that melds the tender with the soul-crushing, lust with frustration and much, much more.” He opens that “Beauty Exasperated epitomises the often-contrasting nature of love between fierce desire and a unique loneliness and longing that stems only from the grip of a love most magnificent, most haunting.”
Beauty Exasperated is available in Seattle at Charlie’s Queer Books & Open Books: Poetry Emporium, as well as through multiple online bookstores.
